Ossi Tiainen

Ossi joined NGP Capital in 2016 and currently lives in Berlin, Germany. He brings over 8 years of venture capital experience and 3 years in management consulting, with expertise in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, spatial computing, and space tech.

With a lifelong passion for science and technology, and a fascination with industry evolution, Ossi is eager to see what the future holds. He enjoys working closely with entrepreneurs who are transforming existing industries or creating entirely new ones, and is constantly seeking the recipe for building great companies.

He holds an M.Sc. with distinction from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, where he studied a mix of industrial engineering, computer science, and economics, and also served as a teaching assistant.

Outside of the office, Ossi enjoys playing music—whether it’s metal guitar or classical piano—and engaging in ball sports like squash and soccer.
